A supply chain management is a very important business department. It could be the ancestry of any organization, especially manufacturing products like mobile phones, textiles, fast foods or anything else related with manufacturing. Supply chain management is the input for any business that converting raw materials and send them into completed goods. This management using a finished set of several procedures and processes to certain the efficiencies of their resources which turning into finished items. There are three kinds of Supply Chain layers; Upper Layer, constitutes of suppliers for several raw materials used for business. Internal Stream Layer, a production process which involved in changing raw materials to finished products. And Downstream Layer, responsible for deliver the finished products to clients through distribution centres.
There are five stages that can be found in supply chain management; first stage is Plan. Planning the best strategies for business could drive the management to devising policies for supplying products. Second stage is Develop. A strong relationship in business could be developed by a long-term of relationship with the suppliers. The third stage is making. Processing products in the manufacture depends on the standards of quality. Fourth stage is delivering the products to the market or distributors or even strictly to the clients with higher standards. The fifth stage is Return. The product will be returned back to the manufacture company if it doesn’t meet the quality criteria. These five stages really need consistency, good effort, and actual planning even though they look easily to execute.
Supply chain is important because it’s categorized as business rules to monitoring production processes in the company and makes sure that the raw materials are really in a high quality to be transformed into goods. Supply chain management is much like a department which concentrates on production of finished goods. The most important thing in business is ensuring that your consumer is getting what they exactly want. For most of manufacture companies, supply chain management is the most crucial thing, because they are the one that can ensure the business will run efficiently and smoothly. These days, to run a good business you can’t only have budgets and strong backups, you also need to develop and inventing devises to keeping the success in the business competition.
There are advantages of the supply chain that makes it a most important part of all business; first, a concept with value. Supply chain management has success in adding a value to production processes by decreasing the time of production to integrate innovation with the aim of create better products. Second, it is augmented profitability. Using supply chain management policies efficiently results in rising profits and lowered costs. Third, follow the trends. It’s important for fashion or cosmetic company to adjusting their products with nowadays trends. Fourth, it is time saving. Using supply chain management efficiently can cost in time saving so customer get the exact product that they wants.
